Repairs and Environmental project managers are needed to work in our Lawrence, KS office in a positive, inclusive, and supporting environment to coordinate work between subcontractors, building owners, and building occupants. Cromwell Environmental is a rapidly growing small business built on a foundation of construction and environmental expertise delivered with great customer service. From our pleasant downtown Lawrence, KS office we perform and subcontract indoor environmental quality projects and building maintenance on occupied homes for corporate owned housing stock across the United States and Canada.

Job Description

The administrative project manager position is a fast paced office job (no field work, no travel) with extremely good communication, multi-tasking, and organization skills required. Routinely they will be working on dozens of construction/environmental projects in various states of completion simultaneously all with extremely short timelines for completion.

As a communicator with our clients for Cromwell Environmental, a firm priding itself on our technical abilities, our project managers are expected to be extremely professional and to (AFTER training) possess and convey expertise in environmental and construction issues occurring in homes- such as indoor-air-quality/mold and general handyman type repairs.

Responsibilities

Receive project orders from clients

Work with our online server to build project folders

Find subcontractors via database or internet search

Negotiate price and time line with subcontractors

Manage subcontractors’ performance- ensuring on-time project completions

Write environmental reports compiling lab data and project information

Send reports via email to clients

Prepare internal reports on volume, average price and time to completion for projects

Order and maintain office supplies
Additional duties required as needed

Requirements

Previous office experience
Very good computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Four year college degree preferred

Environmental, Engineering, or Science background or experience helpful

Construction/Home repair knowledge for dealing with subcontractors

Expert multitasking ability and experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Amazing customer service skills

Technical and professional writing proficiency

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check.

Must thrive in a team environment

Pay: $44,000.00 – $48,000.00 per year
