Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer and under the daily guidance of the assigned General Managers, the Area Human Resource Director supports all Human Resources efforts within assigned hotels. Areas of responsibility/management include, but are not limited to, talent acquisition, training, safety, team relations, organizational development, compensation and performance management and payroll and benefits. Collaborating closely with each General Manager on a day-to-day basis in implementing, achieving, and maintaining property goals and objectives while following guidance from the corporate Human Resources leadership team.
While this position is considered remote, the expectation is that the candidate will be based in Boston for easy access to the properties.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Talent Aquisition
  • New hire and hotel transition onboarding
  • Human Resources training and guidance
  • Compliance and Safety
  • Employee Relations and Investigations
  • Brand training compliance
  • Bi-annual Employee Opinion Surveys and action planning

Specific Job Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Human Resources Certifications Preferred (Local University, SHRM, etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, and labor relations
  • Prior Human Resources experience in a hotel or a related industry, 4 or more years preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels
  • Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality
