Job Summary

Evaluates and processes material and service requests and documentation for our Technical Services group, to ensure correct purchases and timely deliveries onsite to various plant facilities, field compressors, and well sites. Evaluates material return report for request cancellations. Assists in resolving supply chain issues. Assists in developing a supplier and service network, to ensure supply sources through accumulation of product and service data. Conducts pre-bid, pre-award, and post-award meetings with suppliers and customer groups. Analyzes inventory and surplus or obsolete materials. Takes action to minimize stocking levels. Maintains standards database and other systems to track inventory. Prepares management reports.

Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and education required for entry into this job include the following:

  • 0-2 years related experience
  • Basic knowledge of materials management, procurement processes, and inventory control.
  • Basic knowledge of client groups, commodities, and specialties.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental, government, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory analysis techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse layout.
  • Working knowledge of supplier relations, priority management, and tactical planning.
  • Good oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic forecasting and trend analysis skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Value and cost analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to process information quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to walk, stoop, and bend, to perform walkdowns and to search for materials.
  • Ability to lift 80 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Good color vision to identify materials.
  • Good hearing for telephone communications.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3 plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above / below).
