BACKGROUND:
The Timber Rattlers, located in Appleton, Wisconsin (between Green Bay and Milwaukee), are a highly respected team in Minor League Baseball and the Single ‘A’ affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Timber Rattlers are locally and nationally recognized from a marketing and operations standpoint and the Appleton community is recognized as a great place to live, work and play.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are currently looking for an organized and customer service minded individual to join the ticket sales department as the Box Office Manager. The Box Office Manager will handle day-to-day ticket operations in the box office as well as working with our group sales department with daily game day preparations. This person will be responsible for selling and coordinating group outings at the ballpark including but not limited to Corporate, Youth Sports, Church, and Scout Nights. The position will also include working with the ticket team to manage the ticket database system and keep records current and accurate.

Responsibilities will also include assisting other departments when requested or needed. All job tasks should be performed in compliance with the philosophy, policies, goals, and budget of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understand and effectively meet or exceed individual and team ticket goals by prospecting for new inside/outside sales accounts through cold calls and telemarketing targeting individuals and corporate/youth sports/church/scout outings.
  • Develop and enhance positive relationships with clients through a high level of contact in social settings or by taking full advantage of other relationship building or entertainment opportunities.
  • Work with Group Sales Department to assist in set up of game day preparations.
  • Maintain and organize the box office on a daily basis.
  • Use an analytical approach to running group and ticket reports during the year. This includes brainstorming unique way to continue to grow and develop all areas of the ticketing department.
  • Effectively monitor client’s satisfaction with follow-up contact throughout the season.
  • Meet and greet season ticket, ticket package, groups and individual ticket holders during ballgames.
  • Help train and manage all box office interns and game day ticket sellers and ticket takers.
  • Become a Tickets.com super-user and operate ticket database and keep records current and accurate.
  • Actively seek out ticketing and tabling opportunities to promote season, group, and individual tickets.
  • Assist with closing out and balance the ticket department after each game.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • 4 yr. degree
  • Previous experience working in sports, specifically in a ticket department.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Customer service mindset
