We are looking for an experienced Buyer/Planner to join our team in Arvada focused primarily on sourcing, inventory supplier management, and scheduling for both existing and future product launches. The Buyer Planner will aggressively negotiate the procurement of elements, materials, and services for LivaNova. It is critical to our business for you to be able to successfully negotiate service contracts, build medium and long-term strategies for commodities, develop and optimize the supplier base, build foundations for future supplier relationships, and perform effective global sourcing. Ultimately you will lead the efforts of supporting new projects, coordinating development activities with vendors, and managing the procurement of components.
Main Responsibilities:

  • Executes purchases to achieve timely shop order releases and to achieve target raw material inventory levels to ensure on time delivery of Finished Goods.
  • Monitors and controls the cost of materials by utilizing approved vendors and comparing/challenging purchase price vs. standard costs
  • Sources materials and supplies in collaboration with R&D during the design phase. Procures materials during pilot production. Ensures a smooth material transition from pilot to full production.
  • Procures material at lowest possible cost (PPV) and terms required by LivaNova
  • Actively participates in cost reduction programs and continuous improvements efforts
  • Adheres to approved policies and standards
Materials Execution

  • Executes MRP messages from the MPS output
  • Ensures that production lines are not shut down due to lack of materials.
  • Ensures that purchase orders are received on time.
  • Maintains accurate records of open purchase orders, confirmations, and receipts.
  • Minimizes exposure to excess and obsolete inventory write-offs and rework.
  • Executes purchase orders to minimize inventory write-offs during end-of-life.
Supplier Quality

  • Maintains material standards by resolving delivery issues and facilitates quality issue resolutions.
  • Collaborates with Supply Quality with regards to Supplier Scorecards.
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System

  • Performs the maintenance of the detailed Material Requirements Planning (MRP) elements for input into MRP.
  • Analyze and establish lead-time requirements from suppliers
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in business administration or materials management preferred
  • 2 years experience executing purchasing, and planning functions at a high-volume middle-market manufacturing company (Med Device experience preferred).

For Colorado-based roles: Annual salary range of $75-90K. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits
Shift starts @ 7:30AM. Hybrid Onsite/Remote capabilities.
