The Director of Administration leads the strategic and operational functions of the company’s assets including its people, finances, technology and related oversight and compliance systems and processes that support these assets. The Director of Administration develops and implements strategies to meet company HR, financial, and IT goals. This position is responsible for the corporate Quality Management Program. This position is also responsible for the company’s legal agreements, compliance and risk management assessment and plan. As the company’s Security Officer, the Director of Administration is responsible for ensuring data security and related systems and requirements.

As a professional with years of experience managing and leading people, this position leads and manages the work-flow effectiveness and efficiency, accountability, budget, all daily activities, and staff issues within the entire Administration functional area.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborates with Senior Leadership in the development and execution of business goals, strategies, plans in accordance with clinical excellence and philosophy
  • Leads and manages Organizational Strength team, including hiring, training, and coaching for individual development as well as for high-performing teams
  • Oversees and leads annual budgeting and planning process in partnership with CEO and senior leadership; ensures excellence in company financial forecasting and budget planning; monitors progress and changes; and keeps senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure the company’s assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with mandated requirements and GAAP
  • Develops and implements functional area budget
  • Leads strategy related to company staffing, including workflow study, talent acquisition, recruiting, and retention
  • Ensures high quality human resource operations and programs and compliance
  • Leads and monitors quality and compliance practices and initiatives
  • Serves as financial advisor on contracts into which the company may enter
  • Assesses data security controls via risk assessments and implements necessary risk management programs
  • Ensures appropriate administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronic protected health information
  • Ensures accounting functions and financial reporting are accurate and reliable in all material respects
  • Serves as company Security Officer and ensures policies and procedures are in place and observed
  • Manages relationship with the IT vendor for maintaining information technology and services for the company and ensures high-functioning technology to support business operations
  • Owns and ensures effective functioning of the Quality Management Program

Experience and/or Education:

  • Requires education in finance, business or human resources field (ie, accounting, finance, business, HR, health administration) and a minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, human resource management, public accounting or private industry accounting; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Master’s degree a plus.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in business planning, budgeting, and financial accounting
  • Knowledge of appropriate federal and state laws and regulations relating to business taxes and other financial or legal issues

Preferred skills, capabilities and experiences:

  • Behavioral health field experience preferred
  • Experience with quality management programs, accreditation programs and/or quality management certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Idaho behavioral health market, trends and related issues preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with IT functions preferred

Travel Requirements:

Ability to make occasional overnight trips.
