Cimarron is seeking a Systems Engineering Technician to support the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) program at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The ML2 will be used, like the first mobile launcher, as the platform for assembling and testing the Space Launch System (SLS) in the Vehicle Assembly Building at the Kennedy Space Center, transporting the rocket to Launch Complex 39B, and supporting the vehicle’s launch. The platform includes various interfaces for fueling the rocket, providing power and data, and a crew access arm. This position is expected to last 1-years with the possibility of an extension. This is a full-time/benefited opportunity with Cimarron.

Key Duties:

  • Provide administrative and technical support for the requirements management program and database (Spec Innovations – Innoslate), including coordinating requirements management activities associated with Engineers, Requirement Developers, and Subject Matter Experts across the project.
  • Support Human Factors Factor issue tracking and meeting minutes preparation program.
  • Advise management of problems and progress related to requirements management activities.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Engineers, Requirement Developers, and Subject Matter Experts to ensure requirements are correctly allocated as requested.
  • Compile and distribute process metrics to track performance.
  • Coordinate and develop project meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Load and maintain requirements documents and implement documents in Innoslate.
  • Establish links within Innoslate for requirement traceability.
  • Maintain consistency of the hierarchical structure, core attributes, views, and naming conventions within Innoslate.
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of personnel on the Requirements Management Program, including the Innoslate software.
  • Perform or assist in assessments on the Requirements Management Program.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Cimarron employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
  • Experience in, and knowledge of, data processing operations.
  • 1 or more years of experience with computer databases and spreadsheets, including identifying and managing technical/design data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years or more years of relevant experience, or Bachelor of Science and 1 or more years of experience.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Strong aptitude for utilizing the computer to collect, organize, and present technical data through the use of relational databases.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives.
  • Experience with Innoslate or another requirement management software program.
