ANNOUNCEMENT

PRI Productions is seeking an energetic, customer-focused and highly-organized Event Producer/Planner to join our growing team. This position will plan and produce events at the Omni Grove Park in Resort.

SUMMARY

A PRI Event Producer/Planner is responsible for creating, organizing and supervising every element of clients’ events in a fast-paced environment. This position reports directly to the Director of Event Services- Asheville. He or she will lead coordination of approximately 100 events per year, of various size and scale, with an ability to anticipate needs, discern priorities, meet deadlines with little supervision and be willing to work evenings and weekends. The success of an individual in this position is directly tied to client satisfaction, retention and event profitability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handles leads from Omni Grove Park Inn conference services team and sales team. that may be individuals, corporations and associations for meetings, conventions, parties, festivals, company events, etc. including leads processed through the Director of Event Services Asheville.
  • Develops long-term client relationships for continued business and personal portfolio within PRI.
  • Oversees the execution of events for high profile clients or events that may be larger in scale and scope.
  • May work in tandem with, and mentors an Event Coordinator for day-to-day management of event execution.
  • Meets with a client to discuss goals and objectives then designs an event plan including room designs, Audio/Video production needs, staging, decorations, vendor and talent acquisition, etc.
  • Prepares a job cost and client proposal after engaging all necessary teams, then pitches the concept to the client to obtain approval.
  • Performs a site inspection with the client and any necessary members of the assigned technical crew as needed for scope of project.
  • Serves as lead coordinator to all other internal teams necessary to creating, staging, executing and wrapping up the client’s event such as Media Services, Prop Design, Event Technology, etc
  • Supervises all necessary external personnel required to pulling off an assigned event during planning, setup, execution, breakdown and wrap up.
  • Assist with production and execution of related event timelines.
  • Handles all issues that arise from clients, vendors, sponsors, etc. and ensures that everything promised to the client is delivered.
  • Manage event expenses in adherence to client budget including internal and external expenses and a final event profitability report.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in event management or a related field from four-year college or university and 3-5 years of industry experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related industry.
  • Etiquette: Basic knowledge of etiquette, including table set-up, place settings, placement of silverware, glassware, proper food serving and plate removal.
  • Computers: Must possess basic computer skills and be very detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • People: Due to the highly collaborative nature of this work, strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Language: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports, journals, technical procedures and regulations with an ability to write reports, business correspondence. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, clients, customers and the general public using excellent communication skills.
  • Math: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume, etc. Must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to daily work.
  • Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Work Flow: Superb attention to detail, organized work flow and ability to collaborate.
  • Certificates, Licensure and Registrations: Must have documentation proving eligibility to work in the United States, reliable and insured transportation, as well as a valid driver’s license and driving record with three (3) points or less.
  • Interest: General interest in design and industry trends and a knowledge of community.

Additional Details:

Position of Senior Event Producer/Planner is eligible for salary plus commission and company benefits. This position requires reporting to and working PRI’s Asheville office at the Omni Grove Park Inn Resort.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
