We are seeking a Facilities Manager for our Huntington, Indiana Plant.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops, evaluates and improves processing methods and equipment.
  • Ensures that testing on components and equipment is being done periodically to optimize operational performance and meet design specifications.
  • Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
  • Plans budgets and schedules facility modifications, including cost estimates.
  • Inspects construction and installation progress.
  • Initiate planned maintenance programs for a variety of office equipment.
  • Responsible for preventive maintenance of facility equipment, including HVAC, office equipment, etc.
  • Oversee cleaning and maintenance of facility.
  • Work with mechanical maintenance department and plant equipment.


  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry).
  • Proficient with computer applications including MS Office applications.
  • Utilize hand-held tools/machinery/instruments, both manual and powered along with precision and non-precision.
  • Must have experience with overseeing and working with a plant maintenance department.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, painting, greasing, oiling, grinding, drilling, disassemble and reassemble simple machine parts.
  • Follow maintenance procedures and maintain proper documentation, drawings and files.
  • Knowledgeable in hydraulic, and pneumatic controls, materials and components.
  • Operate, set, and regulate/adjust machinery, trouble shoot machine controls, disassemble and assemble machine parts.
  • Install conduit, pipe, regulators, and hoses.
  • Possess a strong background in trouble-shooting press hydraulic systems, PLC, electrical and computer controls, relay ladder logic, and electronic control issues.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment that is loud, noisy and dusty in production areas. Be the leader to maintain and keep the plant as clean as possible.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds or occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends and/or alternate shifts as required.
  • Possible travel from time to time including overnight, only as required.
