Position Summary:

We are looking for new talent in our graphics office! Student graphic designers are responsible for the design, creation and printing of a variety of marketing materials including flyers, posters, banners, and digital media images for a wide variety of costumers (Wood Center programs, student organizations, university departments and other external). They maintain the electronic work order system and invoicing for all work orders, keep an inventory of supplies and order when needed the paper, toner and maintain the computer programs and equipment as needed.*****Applicants must be enrolled as UAF students taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.*****

Duties:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

A successful applicant will:

  • Have a strong creative design process, with experience working with various graphic design programs such as Photoshop, In-design, Adobe Illustrator. Must be comfortable using Mac computers.

  • Be creative, and understand principles of color and design.

  • Work as a team with other student graphic artists, being able to provide and receive feedback on work.

  • Employee excellent customer service to clients.

  • Maintain excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Pay close attention to detail and has excellent editing skills

  • Is familiar with UAF’s Marketing guidelines

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

Prior experience with graphic design, Experience with commercial and large format printing.
