Position Summary

Metropolitan Commercial Bank is a growing New York City based growing commercial/community bank. We offer a full range of ancillary commercial banking service and attractive deposit products for both businesses and individuals. We work hard to provide our customers with highly customized service, applying innovative and flexible full-service commercial and retail banking solutions. We have a knowledgeable lending group offering an array of traditional commercial funding platforms and attractive deposit products for both businesses and individuals. We are seeking a Head Teller in our ___ branch.

Essential Functions

  • Delivers excellent Customer Service which meets and exceeds the customer’s expectations
  • Recognizes sales opportunities and cross-sells bank products
  • Manages and reconciles cash flow of branch which includes the vault and ATMs
  • Acts as Team Leader and supervisor of subordinate Teller staff
  • Delegates work
  • Ensures the completion of logs, report, and assigned projects
  • Performs Teller tasks when required
  • Complies with all regulatory and security procedures
  • Maintains and balances cash drawer daily
  • Assists manager(s) in the completion of monthly and quarterly reports and audits
  • Assist in ordering branch supplies
  • Ensure all logs are fully completed, verified, and initialized
  • Completes other related tasks and projects as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • At least three years retail banking experience
  • Strong customer service and sales skills
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional demeanor at all times
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid knowledge of state and federal banking regulations
  • Good PC skills required


Education / Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience
