Job Description :

  • Summary of Position

    The IT Implementation Manager will provide oversight and management to the IT Implementation function to ensure that Service Levels (SLAs) and customer expectations are met or exceeded. The Implementation Manager is also responsible for the effective resource provisioning, coordination and troubleshooting associated with all IT implementations and technology refreshes.

    Essential Job Requirements

    • Supervises, organizes, schedules and motivates the IT Implementation team
    • Leads on-site project implementations including gathering business requirements, project planning, and strategic IT planning
    • Acts as a liaison between IT groups, onsite management, users and clients
    • Works with cross-functioning teams to ensure issues are completed in a timely manner
    • Establishes requirements and formulates proper documentation to ensure consistency and adherence to policies and procedures in working with contractors/vendors on project deliverables, installations and upgrades
    • Benchmarks, analyzes, reports on and makes recommendations for the improvement of the future projects, systems and infrastructure
    • Leads the team responsible for testing of hardware/COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) to assure its compatibility with existing or planned voice and data networks before deployment
    • Resolves escalated issues or hand-off to other technical support teams or external vendors
    • Leads projects by coordinating resources and timetables with other departments, external vendors
    • Leads the team responsible for commercial software planning, installation integration and testing
    • Leads the team responsible for hardware planning, installation integration and testing
    • Assists in the definition of and communicates project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to CTO, Directors and other designees
    • Provides assistance in the analysis of the technical performance and reliability of products, systems and services against identified industry standards to ensure customer satisfaction
    • Monitor group’s workload ensuring priorities are met in a timely manner
    • Travels to various project locations throughout the country will be required
    • Regular and timely attendance

    Required Education

    Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience is required

    Required Experience
    • Five years of progressive experience in and end-user support/implementation environment, with proven track record of building highly collaborative teams
    • Ability to respond quickly to changing business needs and priorities; ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical implementation
    • Must understand and be able to implement effective IT solutions and practices and in an open and collaborative networking environment
    • Ability to proactively recommend effective courses of action and communicate resolution, policy and procedures to the various IT stakeholders, management, clients and end users
    • Knowledge of common enterprise IT solutions
    • Ability to read, write and understand technical documentation
