The position is responsible to assist with all aspects of monthly processing and reconciliation of Single Family Investor Reporting loan data received from CHFA Loan Servicer portfolios. Format and import, or data enter monthly exceptions reported by CHFA servicers and communicate and work with servicers to correct any reconciliation or other issues.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Input/import, review and analyze monthly servicer exception data reports, balancing with CHFA billing. Import and report out on any special reporting required, when applicable. Balance all mid-month and month-end collections to servicers Funds Transmittal Advice (FTA).

Identify principal balance variances and timing differences completing all balancing and processing prior to month-end.

Effectively communicate and assist servicers, building confidence, gaining trust, and strengthening rapport. Provide training, guidance and assistance to servicers as needed.

Code and scan daily wire activity report to identify source of funds.

Process daily payoff receipts for import to GL, prepare repurchase figures and process receipts, as needed.

Generate and upload timely monthly billing, including overage/shortage discrepancies, late month-end remittance charges and servicer exception cover letters.

Import monthly MBS Servicer reports and address any issues.

Develop and maintain job related procedural and process manuals.


Bachelor’s degree in business or finance and a minimum of two years’ experience in loan servicing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Must have knowledge of the mortgage loan servicing industry. Must have familiarity with loan amortization, communicating with banking/servicing professionals and skilled in business writing. Requires attention-to-detail, accuracy, organizational and analytical skills. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word™ and strong Excel™ skills. Must have the ability to learn and become proficient with propriety servicing systems, enterprise systems such as OnBase and file sharing systems such as ShareFile.
