Job Summary: Plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing chemical products in accordance with quality and quantity specifications.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of chemical production experience, with at least one year of management experience

This position requires the following physical and mental demands consisting of, but not limited to the following:

· Manage the Production Department, including Shift Supervisors and Process Operators.

· Assure that all safety procedures are followed and be proactive in recommending new and improved safety procedures.

· Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.

· Hire, train, evaluate and discharge staff, and resolve personnel grievances.

· Initiate and coordinate inventory control programs.

· Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

· Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of products or direct testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.

· Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems.

· Coordinate and recommend procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.

· Review plans and confer with research and support staff to develop new products and processes.

· Monitor production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.

· Maintain current knowledge of the quality control field, relying on current literature pertaining to material use, technological advances, and statistical studies.

· Direct and coordinate production and processing activities.

· Maintain and review production schedule to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, current orders, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments.

· Working with managers effectively to execute the policies and goals of the organization.

· Supervising and inspiring team of workers.

· Participate in Quality Systems Steering Team and Management Safety Team as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
