The Project Engineer is responsible for providing management of facility maintenance, repair, and upgrade projects. The Project Engineer provides engineering and technical support for including day-to-day assistance for operations and maintenance. This is a full-time salaried position. The successful candidate must be dependable and flexible.


  • Plan, design, manage, and execute projects as assigned and in accordance with established business practices
  • Provide technical support to the corporation
  • Provide technical assistance to the management team and maintenance/operations personnel as needed.
  • Assist in fiscal budget preparation
  • Efficient and effective management of key projects
  • Provide support to detailed engineering design efforts including preparing project specifications, drawing packages, and equipment schedules
  • Meet with contractors, other engineering design firms, and facility personnel concerning project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance on the most complex projects and problems by applying creativity, innovation, tools, methods, and techniques integrated with technical insights, knowledge and experience to form conclusions and resolutions
  • Manage multiple facility projects with moderate complexity. Engineering support will include options analysis and selection, design, budget management, procurement, drawings creation, construction and site safety support
  • Perform root cause analysis for failure investigations and other data analysis tasks
  • Ensure continual operation of facility equipment to specification
  • Work safely and help identify and mitigate process design, construction, and operational SHE risks and promote adherence to safety standards, remove barriers and hazards


  • Mechanical or process background with hands on experience either designing, operating or maintaining common surface facility components such as piping, vessels, tanks, pumps, compressors, etc
  • Experience with industry standards, including API, ANSI, ASTM
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and engineering drawings
  • Knowledgeable in fundamentals of facilities design such as fluid hydraulics, piping design, fixed and rotating equipment design, operation and maintenance, control systems and materials/corrosion
  • Ability to work on several assignments and projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently as well as work in a team environment with numerous disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite of products


  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Professional Engineer license preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Staff Engineer or Project Manager in an engineering or technical field
  • Knowledge of Oil & Gas Industry is preferred
  • Demonstrated results in technical problem solving
  • Experience working with pipelines is a plus and would distinguish the candidate
  • Excellent attention to detail
