Job Description :

Purpose: As a Product & Service Estimator, you will apply your knowledge of product & service costs to develop complete and accurate cost estimates. A strong working knowledge of all project phases including conceptual and schematic drawings to a detailed final bid estimate is required.

The Product & Service Estimator must also have the capability to develop, evaluate, compile and present scope of work and cost data for both product and service bids. A typical project will initially start with a review of the construction documents (drawings, specifications, construction, and design agreements) for completeness and best practices, and analysis of the direct cost budget. During this process, you will be advising the Sales team and stakeholders on construction costs. A candidate with traffic control estimating and lead generation experiences are a plus.

Responsibilities:

· Prospecting and Lead Generation. Lead generation is a long-term strategy and prospecting is a short-term, quick hit strategy. This may be accomplished through customer inquiry, the use of electronic lead generation software, commercial and residential trade associations, municipal, private, public plans, and proposals.

· Take-off Preparation. A take-off is the process of determining how much of each material and labor is needed to complete a job.

· Estimate Preparation. Understand scope of the work, estimate the work, include all other costs, add contingency, and review, review, review.

· Product & Service estimates will be entered into Sage 100 Estimate module for sales & service order conversion.

· Comprehension of industry and agency standards and specifications

· Review of drawings for completeness and best practices

· Consult with Sales & Operations stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues

· Analyzing blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates

· Confer with engineers, designers, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates

· Analyze direct and indirect cost budget

· Conduct periodic site visits to monitor construction and project status

· Observe general compliance of products needs with the contract drawings, special notes & provisions, and specifications

· Review construction schedules & job cost reports

· Determine Bonding requirements

· Maintain high level of Sales team & client contact and communication

· Manage multiple projects

· Post project analysis to determine strengths and weaknesses of actual revenue & profitability versus original estimate

· Timely reporting of key performance indicators

Qualifications/Skills:

· ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor

· Read & Decipher Project Plans

· Must have general working knowledge and understanding of all product types for construction planning/specifications that may be applicable to the projects undertaken.

· Must be able to visualize and develop project budgets and possesses excellent communication skills

· Works at a steady, consistent pace with ability to organize and plan out work schedule to complete work ahead of time.

· When assigned large projects, break the project into large goals and small, day-to-day goals.

· Ability to multi-task while working with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.

· Ability to work as a team player to accomplish day to day activities.

· Ability to show up to work on time and ready to work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
