As a Quality Technician, you will be a member of the Quality Assurance Team, reporting to a Quality Supervisor. You will contribute to the success of Ball by inspecting in-process or finished products for quality based on Ball internal specifications and advise production on results.

The Bowling Green plant is high-volume, fast-paced 24/7-365 days/year manufacturing environment. Our crews work 12 ¼ -hour shifts (5:45am-6pm/5:45pm-6am) working 3 days on/3 days off, and rotating from day to night shift every 6 weeks.


Your key responsibilities include:

  • Follow all job safety practices and policies including but not limited to : food safety, personal protective equipment, emergency procedures, etc.
  • Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on inspection equipment, as needed.
  • Work within the Statistical Process Control database (Infinity) to enter, retrieve and evaluate data.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace according to 5S policies.
  • Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating, communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.


Experience and skills required:

  • High School Diploma or education equivalent required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a production/manufacturing role.
  • Experience maintaining production or quality control equipment.
  • Proficiency with computer applications (such as: Microsoft: Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to read and understand graphs and trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise communication (verbal and written) in a tactful manner to all levels of personnel.
  • 1 year of experience using an Statistical Process Control (SPC) system.


Preferred skills and experiences:

  • 5+ years working a manufacturing /production role.
  • 2+ years of quality experience and using Statistical Process Controls to identify trends.


Compensation & Benefits

  • HOURLY RATE: $28.21
  • Other Compensation: This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
