Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Frazer reports to the Human Resources Supervisor, and is responsible for creatively attracting quality candidates using both traditional and innovative recruiting tactics (including but not limited to social media and established industry contacts and methods), screening candidates with a high degree of urgency to determine fit, and creating sustainable pipelines of quality candidates with a long-term talent acquisition strategy in mind, to include establishing relationships with local colleges and technical/trade schools.

What Does a Week in the Life of the Talent Acquisition Specialist Look Like?

  • Creatively search out candidates across industries and companies and encourage them to apply by using traditional and creative sourcing methods.
  • Phone screen and recommend placement of candidates using interview templates and established qualification guidelines.
  • Proactively research and establish new methods for recruiting. For example, utilize Social Media (LinkedIn, Facebook or other venues) to direct candidates to Frazer’s website to apply for jobs, or visit mechanic shops, schools, and other non-traditional venues in search of potential candidates. Physically hand out recruitment cards, job descriptions, and flyers in the community.
  • Schedule, attend, and promote onsite and offsite job fairs with local colleges and employment agencies/organizations to promote Frazer and positions needed. Prepare and gather company promotional materials to hand out to potential candidates.
  • Communicate with potential candidates and influence them to submit an application and survey for review. Utilize employer branding strategies to attract the best candidates to apply for vacancies at Frazer. Communicate employer information and benefits during the phone screening process and create enthusiasm for Frazer over the phone and online. Assist the HR team with the creation and maintenance of Frazer’s online recruiting presence (Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Facebook, Craigslist, etc.)
  • Proactively and independently manage Frazer’s applicant tracking system to move candidates through hiring stages quickly and accurately; maintain a database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects, hired and fired employees; update Frazer’s Job Board as needed.
  • Complete 3-4 phone screens per day and schedule at least ten in-person skills tests/interviews per week.
  • Coordinate skills tests/interviews with the hiring managers and HR team, and assign interview feedback via UKG.
  • Follow up on skills tests/interview process status and update records in the internal database – close the loop on already interviewed candidates by emailing or calling them at the end of each day.
  • Obtain offer information from hiring managers and commence initial communication of offer details to candidates via telephone.
  • Complete pre-employment reference checks for all candidates who have accepted job offers.
  • Follow up on the open position hiring stages daily. Manage the Applicant Tracking System to optimize the number and quality of new hires each month.
  • Maintain, monitor, and consistently refresh job requisitions for open positions in Frazers internal applicant system and external recruiting sites (LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, university sites, TWC, etc.) to keep job postings consistently updated and new.
  • Work closely with the CEO, HR team and Frazer’s Management Team, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s hiring needs for each position, and meet competitive hiring goals and expectations.
  • Liaise with various staffing agencies and provide continuous updates on candidates statuses via individual agency google docs.
  • Become a company expert on Culture Index and manage the C-Job process for identifying the ideal profile for each role. Learn the intricacies of different profiles, the C-Job process, Org-charts, and Culture Index website navigation.
  • Follow up with the hiring managers after hiring to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collect and analyze recruiting data to understand the weekly goals and ultimately make better hiring decisions. Complete timely recruiting reports (weekly, monthly and annual) on recruitment activities.


Secondary Duties:

  • Participate in various HR events and projects as instructed by the HR Supervisor.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to two years of previous recruiting experience is required.
  • Ability to handle employee data with confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, meticulous organization and triple checking of work to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to pass a background, drug test and motor vehicle record check.
  • Reliable form of transportation and liability insurance as required by state law.
  • Computer and technology savvy with ability to learn new systems quickly.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of UKG, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed for Employers, Ziprecruiter, and similar.
  • Well-versed in social media platforms and scheduling social media posts.

Oh, and $alary

Of course, we didn’t forget salary… Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $51,000-$82,000.00 annually depending on education, certifications, and experience.

Work Schedule

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work M-Th 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, F 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Occasional evening/weekend work may be needed but not on a regular basis. This is a hybrid remote position with at least one day a week onsite at headquarters. Some local travel is expected to attend job fairs and other recruiting events in the community.
