DCL Corporation is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our chemical plant in Goose Creek, SC at Bushy Park! The primary role of the Reliability Engineer is to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations. This broad primary role can be divided into three smaller, more manageable roles: Loss Elimination, Risk Management and Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM)
Works with Project Engineering and Maintenance to ensure the reliability and maintainability of existing, new and modified installations. Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security system utilizing predictive and preventive maintenance systems. Completes a failure analysis and develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations.

  • Develop and execute a robust Predictive and Preventive Mechanical reliability plan for processes, utilities, facilities, PCS and safety / security systems.
  • Manage activities of the Reliability Technician.
  • Interface with Engineering and Maintenance for reliability and maintainability of existing, new and modified installation and spare parts.
  • Maintain all records pertaining to reliability and site equipment.
  • Actively participate in company programs designed to improve general working conditions such as 5S, Lean manufacturing, Safety Programs & etc.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Experience with Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance Techniques in an asset maintenance or manufacturing environment. Experience with computerized maintenance systems and processes, and Continuous Improvement Programs. Supervisory experience. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Reliability Engineering in a chemical process plant environment. Solid communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Certification in Reliability Engineering and any Professional Certificates as well as Six Sigma training and certification preferred.
This role will primarily be located at DCL’s Bushy Park facility in South Carolina; however, travel could be required for Project execution. Exposure to Manufacturing environment when in the plants. Reports to Manager of Engineering. Interfaces with employees at all levels. Directs and manages outside contractors utilized for reliability testing.
