Job Title: Sales and Design Consultant

We are growing and with growth comes opportunity! We are searching for a driven individual to join our Sales Team where top consultants earn in excess of $100k!

For over 42 years, California Closets has been Designing Better Lives by transforming closets, garages, pantries, wine bars, guest rooms with Murphy Beds, laundry rooms and more! In-Home Sales Consultants meet with homeowners who have expressed interest in our custom products and services. They provide design advice, take measurements, and help guide the client from their first consultation through California Closets’ professional installation.

All consultations are pre-qualified and pre-scheduled by our amazing inside sales team. This role DOES NOT involve cold calling. Our goal in doing this is to allow you to focus on providing California Closets clients with a genuinely enjoyable and educational experience.

What We Ask of You

• A commitment to learning & implementing California Closets’ Facilitative Sales process
• 2+ years of outside sales experience; in-home sales consultations a plus
• Good driving record
• Pass a full background check
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Understanding the importance of repeats and referrals and cultivating relationships
• Interior design education, direct industry experience, or proven passion for home décor
• The ability to be consistently inspirational and create delightful customer and brand experiences
• Advanced knowledge of working with basic computer software programs and/or previous experience with CAD Software.
• The ability to be creative, yet meticulously detail oriented with a sense of craftsmanship
• Team player with the ability to manage a portfolio of projects and clients of different complexity in a dynamic environment
• Pursue referrals and repeat business
• Superb references from previous employers
• Experience measuring closet systems, cabinetry, etc.
