Job Description :

We are a growing, local multi-office CPA firm in the Shenandoah Valley seeking to hire a senior accountant for our Woodstock, VA and Harrisonburg, VA offices. If you are working in public accounting or industry and want an opportunity to advance professionally and to work on exciting, challenging projects with a mix of clients, then our team may be right for you! This is a unique opportunity to apply your accounting experience to a variety of small to mid-size business clients.

Responsibilities would include:

• Preparation of individual and business income tax returns
• Participating in audit and review engagements
• Reviewing account reconciliations and month closing steps
• Analyzing general ledgers to identify and clean up errors
• Communicating with client’s internal accounting departments
• Assisting clients with their financial statement reporting
• Assisting and maintaining clients’ annual operating plan/budgets.
• Reviewing of operational, financial, and technology processes to provide management with an individual assessment of business risk, internal control, and the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the process.
• Setting up or upgrading accounting ledgers or systems for businesses

Required education:

• Bachelor’s

Required experience:

• Accounting: 3 years

Required license or certification:

• CPA or CPA candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

Benefits:

• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay
