We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic, articulate, high-energy, full-stack Java Software Engineer who will be responsible for developing new features for the WarehouseQuote web platform. The Software Engineer will be passionate about analyzing requirements, producing new features, testing, and establishing communications with trading partners. What You’ll Do

  • Review JIRA task board and work with the senior engineers, Software Development Manager, Solution Designer, and CTO to determine tasks to code new or enhance existing features
  • Participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, deployments, and release demos
  • Create and update our Confluence wiki with design documents, mappings, procedures, and processes to increase knowledge share across the team
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to determine requirements and ensure delivery of high-quality code
  • Reads, understands, and implements API documents as necessary to facilitate integrations with 3rd party systems and/or partners
  • Participate in technical meetings to design and prioritize work
  • Create & maintain JUnit tests within the WarehouseQuote testing guidelines using applicable tools to ensure code quality
  • Works within the framework of the application roadmap to achieve timely deployments
  • Participates in peer code reviews and provides constructive comments to ensure code quality

  • Experience with Java 11, Spring, Spring Boot, NoSql datastore (Mongo), message queues (RabbitMQ)
  • Experience with development tools such as Artifactory, Maven, Swagger, Postman, Git, Sonar, Snyk and/or equivalents
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS), Docker, and deployments via BitBucket Pipelines
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
